A BIT ABOUT ME
I'm Tina (Krystina) Spicer - Motivation Method Coach and Therapist, based in Nottinghamshire, and I'm a wife, mum and Ouma/Grandmother to two gorgeous granddaughters. I'm passionate about helping people find ways to make the most of their lives as they age. I've been through good times and tough times, had bouts of ill-health myself and had to deal with serious health problems of family members. Some years ago I went through a period of depression which lasted 9 months, I've been made redundant; had a couple of career changes; been a partner in a business turning over millions, and been a partner in a business that went bust, so financially I've been very comfortable and been flat broke. I've experienced family fall-outs, dealt with both my in-laws who developed dementia and more recently, my step-mum; I've worked with difficult colleagues and worked with others who have become life-long friends. I don't deny I have difficult days like everyone else, but I do have the ability to see the silver lining.
As I've got older, and particularly over the last couple of years, I've had some major upheavals to contend with. After downsizing from a big house where I had a therapy room, to a small flat, I put my hypnotherapy practice on hold and took some time to focus on what to do next. For the last couple of years I've been thinking a lot about the challenges and advantages (and there are some) of getting older and Embracing Ageing is the result. I hope you will find something here to inspire and motivate you .
What qualifies me to help you?
I have a background in business management and my interest in motivation and personal development began in 1999 during a particularly tough time in our business when I picked up a book by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen - Dare to Win - and happened to read a paragraph which totally changed my outlook. I suddenly understood that I was losing sight of where the business was going by constantly looking back. So instead of focusing on the unfairness of what had happened and trying to get even, I realised I needed to let go and focus on the future. It was a Damascene moment and the business went from strength to strength.
I decided I wanted to learn more about the principles of success and how our thinking creates our reality, so began to read everything I could find on the subject. In order to learn more and help other people move forward I trained as a Life Coach with Co-Active Coaching in 2001 then went on to obtain certification with ABC in Counselling Skills.
In 2003 I qualified as a Motivation Method Coach & Therapist with The Motivation Partnership in Aviemore, Scotland where I discovered the power of hypnotherapy and NLP to bring about quick and lasting change. Committed to continuing my professional development, I have since undertaken specialised training in several other areas including Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnosis and Smoking Cessation and Virtual Gastric Band. I'm a qualified Stress Management Consultant and have also trained with Management Advisory Services as a Resilience Trainer. So-other than my own life experience, I also have extensive coaching and therapy skills to help you look at life in a different way, so you can start to Embrace Ageing instead of dreading it.
